More about me:

I enjoy building all sorts of model boats and am at the present building a large leander class frigate, approx 1/72.My 1st boat was a perkasa, fiberglass hull, mtb and this was my first taste(much to my ex girl friends horror!!!!)I have also built Deans Marine DUKW and what a beast of a job that was but it has wetted my appitite for that end of the market and would not mind having a crack at some other Amphibs.Presently building the PT Boat in 1/35th and am loking forwards to having a crack at the E boat in 1/35th scale, what a model.Bring on the Vosper MTB in the same scale.UPDATE ptboat nearly done and decided to put it on a base rather than the water.Once work bench ,living room table ,cleared its on with the leander and totaly re build the super structure and line the hull with thin ply rather than the mounting board i'm using now. Pt boat finished and the leander awaiting "Sea Trials " and a coat of paint and a tweak !!! with the RC .Presently building the " VERY " large E boat .
Well the e boat has gone into " dry dock " for Christmas and will be dug out in the new year as I'm clearing my building table well OK it's the living room table . Once the E boat is up and running i wouldn't mind having a crack at the vosper mtb from Italeria and then ,prob 2013 , building the Amethyst as a tribute to my father who served on the Amethyst at the Yangtze incident . I am not the best model maker in the world or do i claim to be but thats what this hobby is about from a living room table to a fully equipped workshop.
Having looked at the vosper mtb i dont relly fancy building it now as i expected a larger version of the Airfix mtb , which is a good kit as is their e boat shame threy both werent bigger ,Well i have now got my dukw back from my brother after MANY YEARS !!!! and having a good look at it decided it needs a bit more cosmetic work to it .

Make your own contribution to the Website

We welcome well written contributions from Website members on almost any aspect of Model Boating with a particular emphasis on practical hints, tips, experience and builds.

In order to maintain a consistent standard and format, all suggestions should first be sent to me by Personal Message for approval in principle. Only a very limited amount of time is available for editing contributions into a suitable format for placing on the website so it is important that the material is well presented, lucid and free from obvious spelling errors. I think it goes without saying that contributions should be illustrated by appropriate photos. I shall be happy to give advice on this.

The Member Contribution area offers space for short informative mini articles which would not normally find a place in Model Boats magazine. It is an opportunity for Website Members to freely share their  expertise and experience but I am afraid that virtue is its own reward as there is no budget to offer more material recompense!

I look forward to receiving your suggestions.
